Dear Alex,
Cue explosions.
Sex. It’s what you do!
Hi, my name is ALEX TUCKER and I’ll be your SEX COLUMNIST for the academic year. A little about me: I work for Sex Out Loud, the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s premiere peer-to-peer sexual health resource. Through the organization, I’ve been lucky enough to be trained for over 150 hours by medical professionals about sexual health topics ranging from anatomy to bondage to trans* issues. So I’m qualified as shit.
Studies regarding University of Wisconsin-Madison Internet usage shocked experts who discovered KaylaDoesAfrica.wordpress.com was the most shared link among UW students and faculty.
Dear Alex,
Hello everyone, and happy Thanksgiving! We’ve all been working so hard on last-minute assignments and hard partying in preparation for our parents’ inevitable question, “So, have you heard back from that employer yet?”
Sometimes, I get questions that are too easy to answer in a whole column. Sometimes, they just need one-word answers! But because they are still so important and relevant to everyday life, I’ve decided to dump ’em all today just for you, dear readers. Enjoy!
Dear Alex,
Dear Alex,
Friday was a very special day for me. I don’t have classes on Fridays—I’m morally against them. However, this particular Friday my roommate, who has classes on Fridays, decided she didn’t this week. Why?
Congresspeople everywhere have stopped trying to reopen the government, stating they’re “getting so much more ass now.”
Coming from a high school with comprehensive sexual education, I didn’t realize how frequently I interact with people who never got “the talk” from their parents or from their schools until I realized the most frequent questions I’m asked by friends are all covered in Sex Ed. 101.
Dear Alex,
Dear Alex,
Hello friends, and welcome back to Badgerland! As many of you are new to campus and the culture of college, it seems very pertinent to talk about the old V-card. In some ways, the concept of virginity is completely made up, as is most of the shame that accompanies it. However, many people view the whole idea as a rite of passage, something most people do that can open the doors to many possibilities.
First things first, new Badgers: Congratulations! You’ve finally made it to the wonderful University of Wisconsin-Madison, where fun grows on trees and new friends come at you in droves. Yay!
Summer is just around the corner, bringing shorter shorts and longer nights. With classes winding down, the time is right to sexify our lives. There are so many ways to get it on over the summer, and there is never a wrong time to continue exploring our sexualities. Whether we try something new with a partner, many partners or ourselves, a general lack of homework and increased lack of long sleeves gives us the option to get down the way we want.
Whether we are in the fourth year of our relationship or have yet to start one, romantic outings with our partner are a great way to become closer and learn about each other. There are several components of a successful date, including dressing to impress, mealtime etiquette and venue:
As I mentioned last week, Sex Out Loud brought adult film star James Deen as their keynote speaker for Sexual Health Fest. The event was hugely successful, drawing over 700 people, many of whom packed the hallways just to hear Deen speak.
