The Lesser of Two EqualsAs Mr. Fitzgerald put it, And so we beat
on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past
...\ Yes dear readers, the time has come for my final chapter, and
the last installment of ""The Lesser of Two Equals."" Next year, I
move on to greener pastures (or at least sleeping on Monday nights)
and my deviant typist photo will be retired.

In last week's new episode, Smug Alert!,\ ""South Park""
ridiculed Hybrid car owners, San Francisco and George Clooney.
Clooney's Academy Awards acceptance speech for Best Supporting
Actor created a deadly smug cloud. Trey Parker and Matt Stone,
creators of ""South Park,"" often bash Hollywood celebrities who
comment on domestic or foreign affairs—witness their last movie,
2004's ""Team America: World Police."" Parker and Stone's view
resonates with many.

Everyone knows how spectacular Badger head coach Bo Ryan's UW
career has been. The two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year has won
conference titles and conference tournament championships, has been
to Sweet 16s and an Elite 8 and has made the Kohl Center a home
atmosphere that rivals any arena in the country. This year, the
Badgers are 18-7 and standing a half game back of first place in
the Big Ten at 8-4 in the conference. Despite the setbacks on and
off the court, this is the finest coaching job of Bo Ryan's
career.

Day 1: Sunday, Jan. 8. I really had no idea what to expect. I
still did not know exactly where we were staying, where we would be
working or what we'd be doing. I heard New Orleans looked like a
war zone and that there was still a lot of looting. It made me kind
of nervous, but I was curious to see for myself what it was like.

Racing'??a blur of NASCAR cars speeding past, Olympic sprinters
puffing to the finish line and Lance Armstrong leading the pack all
