Brown gets invite from National team
Women's soccer senior midfielder Marisa Brown was invited by the United States Under-21 Team to participate in their National Camp being held this week in Carson, Calif.
The team invited 24 players for six days, where head coach Jill Ellis will lead training and scrimmages beginning Sunday. The camp will help Ellis to choose a squad to participate in the yearly Nordic Cup in Norway this Summer. The USA has won seven consecutive Nordic Cups.
Brown, who helped UW win the Big Ten tournament, will be making her first showing at the national camp. The senior was the team's captain this year and was selected as a first team All-Big Ten as a midfielder.
