The 2010s was an extraordinary decade of cinema. Films were made that explored the deepest aspects of humanity, transported us to new worlds and re-envisioned how the art of cinema operates. We saw new worlds and explored the struggles of characters that made us more intoned with ourselves and the world around us. With that, let’s take a look at the 25 best films of the 2010s.

Kombucha is a type of fermented tea applauded for its probiotic health benefits. This beverage finds itself in the same realm as kimchi and yogurt, which is to say that these are all products of the fermentation mechanism. Live cultures of bacteria are responsible for generating kombucha, meaning that upon ingestion of such a drink, you’re going to experience a repopulation of your gut microbiota. This signifies the introduction of a whole new cast of bacteria dedicated to promoting digestion and detox. I like to think of these guys as friendly little micro-fauna.

It’s amazing to consider doing something as simple as focusing on your breath can improve your wellbeing and cognition — it seems like it would be intuitive, yet it is often overlooked.

Late last Wednesday Kobe King announced his decision to immediately leave the Badger Men’s basketball team, citing a growing frustration with head coach Greg Gard as the reason for his departure. While the initial statement was shocking for many Badger fans, new revelations around King’s final meeting with Gard are coming to light.

Yes, it’s true. It’s already been a week since we bid a finale farewell to “The Good Place.” But no, I haven’t stopped the warm, gooey feeling in my heart or the tears falling from my eyes.

“Undecided.” A word that can have many different meanings, but for me, it has been my answer to the daunting question that is: “what is your major?” Even before coming to college I dreaded thinking about putting a label on my education, which is why I checked the box “Letters & Science” on my application as it gave me the most options. However, now as a second-semester college freshman, I feel as though I am constantly surrounded by people who seem to have their whole lives figured out. On top of that, I have had an overwhelming number of people express their concern for me through comments that generally point out how important it is for me to figure it out, as if I didn’t already know that. To say the least, this environment definitely has added an extra level of pressure and I will admit I have found myself wondering if I will ever decide on what I want to do.

Though students are only in their second week of the 2020 spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, spirits are already quite low. This is most clearly seen on the campus’s many crosswalks, especially those that intersect with some of Madison’s most busy roads: it seems that students have developed a total disregard for crossing signals.

This poem is in response to my removal from Witte Residence Hall. I was removed because of an investigative process in which University Housing is diving into how and why I make white students and students who have white friends uncomfortable. However, is it truly discomfort for their safety or discomfort because I actively work to ensure the safety and comfort of students of color, first. In other words, I hold white students accountable and ask them to educate themselves and check their privilege on a floor that upholds multiculturalism and social justice themes and values. My removal has resulted in irreparable trauma. Not only inflicted on myself, but students of color who I have had the honor of building relationships with, regardless of their involvement on the MLC.

The holidays are often accompanied by warm thoughts, colorful lights strewn across houses, beautifully wrapped presents, catchy music and cozying up inside during snowstorms.

“Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark,” released in August of this year, mostly went unnoticed and unspoken about, and for good reason. I expected much, much more from a Guillermo del Toro production. While never taking itself too seriously and trying to develop a fun, care-free story about kids versus monsters, this is a film that instantaneously starts off horribly and only goes downward.

Ohio State - This is no fun to write. Ohio State is really good, and nobody has an answer for them, they damn well may find themselves with the championship trophy come January. The NCAA sucks for suspending Chase Young though.
