Fake News Friday: Freshman treats girlfriend to dinner at Gordon’s, romantic city bus ride

Freshman Jared Lang treated his Girlfriend, Amy Katz, to a Valentine’s Day full of wonderful and romantic surprises Thursday night.

It all began when Lang arrived at Katz’ dorm unannounced at 7 pm, demanding she put away her homework and get ready to leave. He then proceeded to blindfold her and lead her out of the Witte dorms.

“She kept giggling and asking where we were going. She seemed really excited. I told her it was a surprise,” said Lang.

Lang arrived at Gordon’s Dining Hall with Katz in tow soon after and removed the blindfold.

“I told her she could pick out anything she wanted. They’ve got everything there, you know? I pulled out my Wiscard, all cool, and was like, ‘We’re together’ to the cashier.”

Lang led Katz over to the chairs by the gas-lit fireplace, “for the ambiance.” It was there that they shared their meal.

Dinner was only phase one of the young Casanova’s master plan for the evening, and he intended to pull out all the stops.

Lang said he proceeded to walk his significant other across Dayton Street to the bus stop where they boarded the 80.

“I was all like, ‘After you’ and stuff. I was being a gentleman, ‘cause girls like that.”

Under the erotic blue glow of the overhead lights Lang proved his love for Katz with a series of gifts pulled from his backpack.

“I gave her some Topper’s coupons and like eight of those key chains from the Witte front desk,” he said.

Upon her arrival back at Witte that night, Katz told friends that the date was amazing in comparison to last year, “when Jared took me to Costco for a ‘free-sample’ dinner.”
