Gov. Jim Doyle and U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison, spoke with Al Franken on the subjects of health care and prescription drugs Wednesday at Memorial Union on Air America's \The Al Franken Show.""
Baldwin expressed concern and frustration with the way the majority is treating the minority in the U.S. House.
""We have a situation where the majority party goes into back rooms and drafts legislation,"" she said.
""The way they passed that Medicare bill was just scandalous,"" Franken said.
Doyle then criticized close ties between the Bush administration and large U.S. drug companies.
""They were faced with making a choice between the American people and the pharmaceutical industry,"" Doyle said.
Franken, an ardent critic of the far right, has a popular political talk show on many radio stations around the nation.
The Sundance Channel will air the show tonight at 10:30 p.m.
