While Saturday's contest between the Wisconsin Badgers (3-1 Big Ten, 12-3 overall) and the Illinois Fighting Illini (3-2 Big Ten, 12-4 overall) will not determine the Big Ten Champion, as was the case in last year's memorable game at the Kohl Center, it will still pit two of the strongest teams in the conference against each other.
The Badgers are coming off a 74-63 victory over Michigan last Wednesday, despite the fact senior guard Freddie Owens and sophomore forward Alando Tucker sat out due to injuries.?? Junior forward Mike Wilkinson (18 points) and junior guard Clayton Hanson (17 points) had strong games for a depleted Wisconsin squad. Both Owens and Tucker are doubtful again for this weekend.
