Wisconsin (0-7 Big Ten, 4-12 overall) looks to end the home season on a positive note by getting their first conference win of the season.
Wisconsin came home empty handed from its Michigan road trip, after getting swept 4-0 by both the No. 9 Michigan Wolverines (5-0 Big Ten, 13-3 overall) Friday and the Michigan State Spartans (4-1, 14-4) Sunday. Friday, the Wolverines’ clinched the doubles’ point in dominating fashion to set the tone for the night.
GS: This weekend saw the conclusion to the Australian Open tennis tournament. The hype of the tournament Down Under might have gotten swept away by the Super Bowl hype and the fact that it takes takes place in the dead of night on our side of the Pacific. Regardless, you missed out on a pretty exciting tournament, and a rather shocking Cinderella story on the women’s side.
Wisconsin junior Lauren Chypyha fell in three sets in the opening round of the Riviera Women’s All-American tennis championships Saturday in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
