Looking back, my Sept. 24 column advising the city against taking ownership of the Overture gave the management of the center for performing arts a bad shake. I'll be the first to admit my wording comes off strongly, and in some cases unjustly critical of current Overture administration.

Last week, members of the Campus Women's Center celebrated reinstatement of funding for their group for the next two years. An undercover audit showing the CWC followed through with direct services they claim to provide, sealed the deal for CWC and ensured the group the $100,000 they requested.

Welcome back Feingold

Maybe Feingold was just been getting overshadowed by Ron Johnson and his primary victory, but it feels like ages since we last got to see the fiery, not apologizing for anything Feingold that made him a Badger political staple. But Tuesday's Moving America Forward rally brought that Feingold back in a big way.
