2004 Coalition is claiming credit for registering 1,000 new voters.
But it seems strange that this ASM group is happy that more people
showed up to vote, when one considers that those they registered
may not be really informed, passionate voters.

Gov. Jim Doyle announced Monday the Minimum Wage Advisory
Council voted 16-2 to increase the state's minimum wage from $5.15
to $5.70 per hour in 2004 and $6.50 per hour in 2005, making it the
first increase of the minimum wage since 1997.
