It felt as if I was standing naked in front of my fifth grade
class, save for a pair of nipple tassels. No, this isn't the story
about my friend's birthday party at the strip club - this is the
moment I realized I had boobs. Big ones.

The man who allegedly robbed Fraboni's Deli, 822 Regent St., and

Mother Teresa, the tiny Albanian woman who spent her life
working with the poorest of the poor,"" is in the news again (and
no, she isn't in a custody battle or in trouble for stealing OJ's
memorabilia). In 1998, Pope John Paul II raised a few eyebrows when
he put her on the fast track to sainthood just one year after her
death, but it is the most recent revelation about her that is
causing a torrent of controversy in the theological world.

The term is IOKIYAR or, It's OK if you're a Republican."" It
means Republicans have carte blanche in attacking others'
patriotism, and represents the partisan double standard that exists
today in Washington. Last week, we saw a classic example from the
always-loathsome Rush Limbaugh.

I'm not very good at first impressions.

So, a friend of mine was recently arrested and almost shot by
submachine guns for knowing too much. Well, not literally for
knowing too much, but that's what it comes down to. Of course, from
the authorities' point of view, she was arrested for almost being a
terrorist, despite the fact that she clearly appeared so by
accident. Which, of course, doesn't make much more sense. But
enough of this: Those among us who don't follow random national
news stories have no idea what I'm talking about.

The bottom line is that the No. 9 UW football team (1-0 Big Ten,
4-0 overall) has four wins in as many games. However, drops in the
polls over the last couple of weeks signify how those four games
have gone.

Unlike most of you young sports fans out there, I'm old enough
to remember who the Packers' starting quarterback was before Brett
Favre.

After a shocking first half, the No. 7 Badgers came out and wore
down The Citadel, salvaging a 45-31 victory at Camp Randall Stadium
to remain undefeated on the season.

It was the night before graduation and everyone was giddy. The
streets were full of those people you haven't seen since freshman
year—the girl who locked herself in her room playing songs from
""Rent"" on her trombone, the boy from class who always wore a
fedora, or the girl from high school who you swore dropped out and
started stripping. Everything was wrapping up perfectly.

The Wisconsin football team concludes its spring season with the

Daily Cardinal presents its first segment of Five Things to Watch

I want to live in an '80s teen movie. When I was little, I
always figured that, at some point during high school, I'd sew my
own prom dress. That didn't happen. Instead, I just wore
store-bought ones, and I felt cheated. Slammed. Hurt by the fact
that I couldn't be as pretty in pink as Molly Ringwald. Plus, there
was no James Spader. And that's a tragedy.

The beer hall was packed wall-to-wall with people. Large men in
extra-large Packers sweatshirts and women in after-work
professional wear crowded along the long bar, waiting to be seated.
A surly group of middle-aged men in leather jackets—the types who
invaded Madison last weekend in the wake of the high school
basketball tournament—kept toasting one another and looked
dangerously close to falling over. And until the polka band took
the stage, the background music consisted of laughing, screaming
children, the clink of pint glasses and the swishing and swooshing
of wind pants.

In 2004, Rolling Stone stated that Umphrey's McGee ""have become
odds-on favorites in the next-Phish sweepstakes by challenging
jam-band clichAcs."" Thoughout their nine years of existence, they
have seven albums under their belt and plan on releasing a double
album, The Bottom Half, this April. The Daily Cardinal had the
opportunity to sit down with vocalist/guitarist Brendan Bayliss and
get his take on everything from Notre Dame football to his love for

No one actually says things like, ""Hey, hot stuff, you must be
tired because you've been runnin' through my mind all day,"" except
for in the movies. But I've reached the point where something like
that would be borderline charming in comparison to usual collegiate
encounters. Let's face it—there are some sketchy characters in this
town.

These are the times that try fans' souls. The fickle,
face-painting fanatics and fake Badger-backers will, during
consecutive losses late in the Big Ten season, jump from the
bandwagon faster than Penn State coach Ed DeChellis reaches for the
Pepto-Bismol.

About this time last year, things were not going so well for
Wisconsin basketball. They had lost Greg Stiemsma and Marcus Landry
to academic ineligibility and DeAaron Williams was no longer on the
team. UW also suffered the biggest upset of the season when they
lost to North Dakota State at home.

Great sports moments happen all the time. Texas Tech's Jarrius
Jackson hitting a buzzer-beater to upset No. 6 Texas A&M
Tuesday, West Virginia taking it to then-No. 2 UCLA Saturday, the
list goes on and on. But it's the truly fantastic moments that
always stick with you. So without further ado, here are my five
favorite sports moments over the years.
