Many of you probably know at least one person who is absolutely
terrified of going to the bathroom in public. Some are merely
frightened of publicly relieving themselves when they have to go
number two—yes I am using the term you learn in kindergarten to
avoid saying the word ""poop"" 30 times in one article. Others
cannot even go number one in a public bathroom without freezing up
the second someone else walks in.

The first basketball blog I ever followed was written by Gilbert
Arenas. He didn't talk about basketball very much, and most of what
I remember is when he would talk about video games. He officially
sponsored a professional ""Halo"" team named Final Boss that
competes in national tournaments all over the place, and he was
especially honored when selected to grace the cover of ""NBA Live
‘08.""

Head coach Bret Bielema discussed some of the key performers in
Saturday's win over Arizona State, as well as the Badgers' upcoming
game against Austin Peay in his weekly press conference on
Monday.

So apparently, when I consume very large amounts of alcohol I turn
into a rapper. Yes, you read that right, a rapper. Little, shy,
size-zero me transforms into a full-fledged cocky and boastful
Biggie Smalls. I don't know exactly why I choose to embody a large
black male. All I know is that oddly enough I rock the role with
drunken excellence.

As a child I took a strange liking to cleaning and thought Windex
was the solution to any dirty disaster. Ketchup on your shirt? Grab
the Windex. Blood oozing from that scab on your knee? Fetch the
Windex.

Then I went to college and realized cleaning was for loooosers. In
my apartment, sticky beer floors were rarely completely cleaned up
because my roommates and I were so rocking we had parties 24/7 and
mopping was just a waste of time.

After spending all of last week being regaled with stories about
sandy white beaches, margaritas served in foot-long tubes, karaoke
clubs in China and all the glory that was Spring Break 2010, I
decided I'd had enough. I'm not really good at the whole ""be happy
for your friends"" thing; I'm much more of a ""fight fire with
fire"" person. I gathered my troops, planned and booked a seven-day
getaway to Mexico. Take that PCB-ers.

Last week while taking advantage of the warm weather, I donned
the running shoes, not expecting more than a nice run around the
lake. On my way back, I was literally chased down for two blocks by
a red-faced kid shouting my name until he caught up.

HOUGHTON, Mich.—Looking only at the last time Wisconsin faced
off against Michigan Tech, at the Kohl Center Dec. 4 and 5, you
might think a pair of close wins at John MacInnes arena would be
disappointing. Despite being obliterated by the Badgers the last
time they met, getting outscored 14-2, Michigan Tech put up a
better fight in an emotional final home series for their seniors,
testing the Badger offense that was without its top scorer and
frustrating junior goaltender Scott Gudmandson.

A few months ago, the unthinkable happened. I was browsing
through Facebook, hitting all the usual profiles I creep on (I'm
talking to you, Katie), when a friend request popped up. It was my
little brother, Nolan. My 14-year-old,
still-in-eighth-grade-brother. My
plays-PS3-an-unhealthy-amount-and-is-only-two-years-removed-from-collecting-Yu-Gi-Oh!-Cards
brother. To put it in web lingo, WTF?

This was supposed to be the year Minnesota made it big. With the
accomplished Tubby Smith at the helm, nine rotation players were
back from last season's NCAA-qualifying team and began the year in
the top 25.

Recently Wisconsin (8-3 Big Ten, 18-5 overall) has relied on its
late game heroics to clinch its wins, but in Ann Arbor on Saturday
the Badgers continued what they started last Tuesday against
Michigan State and jumped all over the Wolverines early.

It was a hero's homecoming for junior guard Alyssa Karel. The
St. Paul, Minn., native led the Wisconsin women's basketball team
to a much-needed 76-74 victory against the Minnesota Gophers
Thursday night, grabbing a steal and then scoring the winning
basket with just five seconds left in double overtime.

Every day of my life is in some way devoted to sexual health.
Whether it is in class, in medical school, working for an
organization dedicated to promoting healthy sexuality through
sex-positive education and activism or writing this column, I spend
a great deal of time reading, writing and discussing various
aspects of sexuality that impact people's lives in both positive
and negative ways.

important aspects of an individual's personality.

With all due respect to the Boss, the Hold Steady are the new
Bruce Springsteen. By masterfully depicting and living the dreams
of millions of music lovers, they've managed to craft their own
brand and become the new spokesband for the middle class. They
write sing-along anthems tailored to amp up the enthusiasm of a
crowd whose drink of choice is a double whiskey, Coke, no ice,""
which is an undeniably vast reservoir of listeners.
