The first-time feeling compares to no other. It is handled with care. Though it shows in just about every small detail around you, I find myself lost at the vibration hovering, cutting corners and seeping between Grant Park.

We live in an entertainment era today where virtually every film produced is either a remake, a continuation of an ancient series or recycled story bits put together to make a film lacking any freshness. Leave it to the biggest film-lover in the world and one of the greatest filmmakers of all time to craft a film that not only eloquently reflects on the changing world surrounding pop culture and the entertainment industry, but to create one of the most original, charismatic films of all time.

After night one’s fiery start, night two of the 2020 Democratic Primary Debates certainly did not disappoint. With candidates dodging questions, talking over each other, and saying way more than one or two words, it was not only an informative night of politics, but an entertaining one at that.

I am studying industrial design, and it is really encouraged in my program to design stuff that is useful to a specific audience. But I want to go a step farther. I identify as a young entrepreneur, and I have got an idea that I really think will be successful but I don’t have that many connections that could pay off for a product like this. So how would I do that? How would I get the word out about something I’ve built? And what are some other next steps that I should take?

After graduation, I’m interested in using my degree in computer science to become part of a tech startup that develops software for other businesses. I know that the software-as-a-service model is what I’m interested in implementing, since it will provide the company with recurring income. But I’m a little unsure how to find the right customer base. How do businesses find sales leads when they’re trying to market to other companies, not consumers?

***Major Spoiler Warning***

Unprecedented late summer rains led to record-high lake levels, flooded homes and more than $154 million in damage county-wide. Following the floods, county officials announced plans to fund more than $18 million in recovery initiatives and studies to prevent future flooding impacts. One of the key takeaways from the fall was that managing water flow in the Yahara Lakes is more important than managing levels of the lakes themselves when it comes to preventing future flooding. Among the strategies, one report identified sediment and weed removal and dam infrastructure improvements. A multi-year dredging campaign, which one common county official estimates will cost around $2 million, is a top priority for the city and will commence in select locations this summer.
