It's that time of the year again. The weather is getting colder,
classes are getting more difficult, Halloween is here and Top
Chef"" is starting! With the new season of my favorite show on TV
approaching - Nov. 12, set your Tivos - I've been thinking a lot
about what it would be like if I ever got my chance to be on this
culinary masterpiece. Here's what I would bring to the table:

While attending a wedding this past weekend, I started flipping
through the hymnal in front of me. I have always been fascinated by
the way churches use music to represent their views of God and how
much of the greatest classical music was written specifically for
church services.

If you're a girl and you visit Perez Hilton in class, on the
toilet, in the morning, after lunch, when you're watching 90210 or
only every 10 minutes, then I'm sure you've heard about the DJ AM,
Travis Barker plane crash. Obvi. It's been like, four whole days.
The sad thing is four people actually died. The funny thing is we
would never have heard about that crash if famous people weren't
involved.

As the year draws to a close, many seniors view the last days
before graduation as a checklist of last-minute things to
accomplish: Pick up robes and hat. Send out invitations. Pass the
last few exams. Get wedding dress fitted?

When Maggie Pennington returned to her room Sunday morning, she
expected to find her roommate passed out in boxer shorts and a
T-shirt that wasn't hers, face first in a box of Ian's pizza, just
like any other Sunday. But this particular Sunday, Pennington
instead found a note and a half-eaten box of Cracker Jack.

Even audience members who hadn't enjoyed a few sandwiches""
before their viewing of ""Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle""
could have fun with the pot-fueled quest for midnight munchies. It
was an underappreciated, vulgar comedy with genuine characters and
a refreshingly progressive approach to race in lowbrow cinema. But
cult favorites rarely survive the sequel treatment, as we discover
in ""Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay."" Without the
aid of a big fat ""sandwich,"" audience members will likely be
bored to tears by its contrived plot filled with recycled
gags.

Now that Easter and Lent are over, I feel the need to get a few
confessions off my chest. First of all, I forgot to give something
up for Lent. Oops. Well, that's minor. I can be forgiven for that.

Obie Trice once famously sang When I leave here tonight and I go
to sleep and wake up, hopefully she got some teeth.""

The best thing about my life is that I usually get what I want.
Not to say I deserve any of it; if it's a material possession, I'll
probably dribble food on it, toss it across the bar after four
vodka water limes or try to cook it for dinner.

Love is the single-most intangible concept known to mankind, as
equally wonderful as it is frustrating, as constant as it is
volatile and as certain as it is confusing. Love can be professed
in countless ways to numerous types of people and is the vessel
that motivates even the most hardened hearts. One can go on and on
trying to explain love, but the tuth is , love is too expansive to
be summarized in a few words.

If the thought of being a bridesmaid in 27 weddings seems more
than a little intimidating to you, then it's safe to say the
thought of wearing 27 horrible bridesmaid's dresses is truly
frightening. Yet, Katherine Heigl pulls it off with humor and
aplomb in her latest movie, 27 Dresses.""

Sitting in a theater filled with 8-year-old girls and their
43-year-old parents, it is easy to wonder what the Disney franchise
has to offer these days. Since Disney's most recent hey-day in the
early 1990s with the successes of Aladdin,"" ""The Little Mermaid""
and ""The Lion King,"" Disney movies have been a slew of
disappointing animated comedies and live-action dramas, bolstered
only by their Pixar successes. After more than a few manic-animal
movies that bombed at the box office, it begs to be asked why
Disney didn't just continue to do what it did best with its
princess-themed animated dramas.

Clothing says a lot about a person. Much like a well-loved
t-shirt, a kimono can come in many shapes and colors which all tell
a story about the garment's past. Crafting Kimono,"" the new
exhibit at the Human Ecology Design Gallery, explores the art of
this traditional Japanese attire.

Britney Spears' new album Blackout is exactly what you would
expect from the once-talented pop princess: a lot of pointless
tracks with techno beats and effects used to cover up the terrible
singing and questionable song writing.

It seems everywhere I look, it's like a battle between
pro-lifers and pro-choicers. But a little bit of research will show
that most people from either side have never actually had an
abortion. I'm not really sure what gives them the right to be so
passionate about something they've never experienced.
