Anyone who doesn’t live under a rock should be well aware of the recent United States Capitol breech, and if you aren't, wake up hunny. In an effort to look towards the silver linings, the break in made it hilariously apparent that quite a few things are harder to get into than the United States Capitol. So to give us the laugh we so desperately need, here is the UW-Madison edition:

No. 1 Wisconsin (2-0) pulled off a second three-set win Saturday night against No. 13 Purdue in the Fieldhouse tonight, but the match wasn’t as frictionless as the night prior. The Badgers came out of the gates with high energy on and off the bench after last night's win against Purdue. Hoping for a repeat performance, the Badgers were able to beat the Boilermakers in three sets, but with more difficulty.

First, I should probably congratulate the Packers on a decisive win yesterday. They did, in fact, beat the Rams. I mean, Aaron Donald was playing with broken ribs and starting quarterback Jared Goff had thumb surgery three weeks ago and the Packers did everything they could to work Davante Adams away from Jalen Ramsey, but they did win. So kudos to them.

Well folks — we made it! The fever dream that was 2020 came and went, and while we found plenty of new shows to fill our — excessive — amounts of free time, 2021 is shaping up to be an even more exciting year across the television landscape. Action Bronson is a true Renaissance man. No, he’s not the only New York rapper to expand his repertoire past the recording studio. A$AP Rocky, out of Harlem, is a globally recognized fashion icon who also acted in several films, most notably Rick Famuyiwa’s 2015 flick Dope. Jay-Z, out of Brooklyn, was a partial owner of the Nets and was instrumental in getting them to relocate to his home borough. Regardless, Action Bronson — born Ariyan Arslani — is a man of mystery with a seemingly never-ending supply of innovations up his sleeve. From movies to books and fitness to food, Bronson is an assorted, frequently stoned bundle of energy that perfectly represents the diversity and hustle of the city he hails from.

The 22-year-old multi-instrumentalist Steve Lacy out of Compton, Calif. might be the most prolific musician who’s only been legally allowed to drink for 19 months. Still just scratching the surface of his prime, Lacy joined neo-soul group the Internet back in 2014 when he was still in high school and hasn’t looked back. Having already worked with a wide variety of collaborators and producing parts of multiple Grammy-nominated albums, Lacy has cemented himself as one of the most exciting contemporary musicians of the decade. Just as the decade comes to a close, Lacy released The Lo-Fis, a treasure trove of demos and ideas for the dedicated fan.

Quarterback Jack Coan is entering the transfer portal and will be leaving the Wisconsin Football program, Coan and the team announced early last week. After a foot injury sidelined the junior for the first two months of the season, Coan did not play at any point during the 2020 regular season — even after being activated prior to a week eight matchup against No. 16 Iowa.

As much as the attention around college football is focused on the College Football Playoff and the Heisman contenders as well as the flashy teams and players that are contending for each, we sometimes lose sight of some of the middle of the pack teams who also have their own stories and fun storylines that deserve the attention of the college football world.
