Nov. 1 marked the beginning of the holiday season for two
reasons: Starbucks' holiday cups and the release of Justin Bieber's
Under the Mistletoe. It's been over a year and a half
since My World 2.0, and Bieber's voice is noticeably
deeper. Yes, Justin Bieber finally went through puberty. Despite
his inevitable hormonal change, he does not seem to have lost much
of his vocal range at all. Bieber worked diligently over the past
year with the same vocal coach who successfully helped Usher
through a similar point in his career.

young kid. Local LA radio personalities like KRTH
101's ""Real"" Don Steel and 95.5 KLOS' Uncle Joe
Benson were consistently on the family radio during my childhood.
Growing up, I began to develop an admiration for such on-air
personalities: they just sounded so smooth, so cool as they talked
about music. These guys, Shotgun Tom and Uncle Joe, were all about
keeping the oldies alive during the 1990s. Because of
my youthful exposure to the FM throwback stations, it became my
prime objective in life to be heard on the airwaves.

A couple of weeks ago Hollywood released ""Straw Dogs,"" a

Unsurprisingly, it tanked in cinemas and will probably be out of

playing the lead, the new one has watered-down pretty boy James
Marsden in the role.

Efforts to recall nine state senators remain underway, but if
redistricting plans proposed by Republicans, which have outraged
Democrats, are passed by the Legislature the recall elections could
