On Election Day, some find themselves scrambling. This often means figuring out where to vote, how to get there or scheduling it into an already busy work day. Sometimes, it’s not as easy as looking up polling locations online and plugging the address into a phone. In fact, some polling stations are located in a spot that won’t be found on a typical city map — sewers.

In the current contentious political climate, there seems to be just one topic that voters can agree on — legalizing recreational marijuana. According to a 2021 Gallup poll, 68% of Americans are in support. Yet, despite the fact that this would result in something most politicians prioritize above all — shit loads of money — many are still in opposition.

Illicitly manufactured fentanyl is often used to cut drugs such as heroin and cocaine because of its low price and addictive quality. While drugs laced with the opioid are a significant factor in the drug epidemic, it is not something people need to be worried about when doing something as basic as picking up a new bottle of salad dressing from the grocery store.

David Kahl pled guilty to first-degree intentional homicide in late October for the murder of former University of Wisconsin-Madison student Brittany Zimmerman. Zimmerman, a UW-Madison junior studying microbiology and immunology, was murdered in her apartment on Doty Street in 2008.
