The University of Wisconsin-Madison Police Department (UWPD) is actively investigating an aggravated assault that occurred early Monday morning in the UW Arboretum.
According to a campus wide email sent Monday afternoon, officers received a call at approximately 6:30 a.m. regarding the incident. Authorities confirmed that the suspect and the victim are acquaintances, though additional details about the circumstances surrounding the assault have not been released.
