The Wisconsin Alumni Association is sponsoring a day-long Countdown to Commencement event Thursday for students planning to graduate this December.
The one-stop-shop opportunity will answer questions about the Dec. 16 ceremony, graduation eligibility, cap and gown reservation and allow students to order class rings and graduation announcement cards.
Alumni Association representatives will also inform students about post-graduation services, such as uwalumni.com e-mail accounts and access to WAA short-term health insurance. Students can also sign up for the WAA, which allows graduates access to UW library resources and gives Kaplan Test Prep course discounts.
The WAA event, which is supported by the University Bookstore, the Wisconsin Union and the university, will take place 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Tripp Commons in Memorial Union.
