Jeopardy! producers and UW-Madison officials announced Thursday that UW-Madison will host the 2008 Jeopardy! College Championship April 11 and 12.
Ten episodes of the California-based television quiz show will be taped at the Kohl Center on those days. UW-Madison is the ninth college campus to host the show.
We're pleased to be selected as the host site for Jeopardy!'s 2008 College Championship,"" Chancellor John Wiley said in a statement. ""We look forward to welcoming college students from around the country to our campus and our community.""
Fifteen students from the nation's top colleges will compete for a grand prize of $100,000 in cash.
""We know the residents of Madison as well as the students at the University of Wisconsin will make this a truly memorable event,"" Harry Friedman, executive producer of Jeopardy! said in a statement.
