Three bar patrons ended up in Dane County Jail after a scuffle with police outside Club Five early Sunday morning.
It began when police responded to a report of patrons stealing from the bartender's tip jar at Club Five, 5 Applegate Ct., according to a Madison Police Department release.
Police reported one of the suspects, Mallory Schwenn, 22, was especially confrontational with both employees and police, and caused a ""loud disturbance"" throughout the investigation.
She went as far as to leap at one of the officers and kick the officer in the arm, according to police. She was arrested for theft, battery to an officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Schwenn and another suspect Danika Conkle, 21, were being transferred to a squad car when Paul Thompson, 23, lunged in the direction of the car in an attempt to free the two, despite police commands to back away.
Police arrested him for obstructing justice and transported him to jail along with the two female suspects.
