Another bank was held up Wednesday in the 19th such incident of the year.
This incident equaled Madison's 2001 record of 19 bank robberies in one year.
According to police, a 50-to 60-year-old black male allegedly entered the Home Savings at 2 S. Carroll St.
The man then demanded an unspecified amount of money, and implied he had a weapon.
He escaped on foot toward West Washington Avenue, according to a statement from the police. He is currently at large.
Tuesday, a suspect reportedly held up Chase Bank on Milwaukee Street in Madison.
