Assembly sets public hearings on Governor's budget reform proposal

According to a schedule released by Assembly Democrats Wednesday, Madison area residents will have four opportunities to express their concern with Gov. Scott McCallum's Budget Reform bill. 

 

 

 

In a press conference earlier this year, Assembly Minority Leader Rep. Spencer Black, D-Madison, said they wanted to hear the public's input before debating the bill. 

 

 

 

\The people deserve a chance to speak out on Gov. McCallum's deficit plan,"" said Black.

Over 40 public hearings will be held across the state, with Democrats holding two in Madison on Feb. 13 and 20. Monona and Middleton will have a hearing on Feb. 11 and 20, respectively.
