About 15 people who were struck by a taxicab before Saturday's Badger football game have been treated and released from local hospitals, according to Madison Police Lt. Wayne Strong.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m., the cab stopped at the corner of Breese Terrace and University Avenue to let out a passenger. The cab then leapt onto the sidewalk into a crowd of pedestrians walking to Camp Randall Stadium.
\He had his foot on the [gas] pedal when he thought it was the brake,"" Strong said of the cab driver, who was not intoxicated at the time of the incident.
