The Badger men's hockey team took a road trip this weekend as they swept the University of Minnesota-Duluth Friday and Saturday nights.
Wisconsin played strong games both nights, defeating the Bulldogs 5-1 Friday and 4-1 Saturday.
The fourth-ranked women's hockey team hosted Minnesota-Mankato this weekend and skated away with a sweep. The women held the Mavericks to only 21 shots in the series and defeated Mankato 4-1 Friday and 3-0 Saturday.
The women's volleyball team struggled at first while on the road this weekend but held on to their lead in the Big Ten, defeating Michigan in Wolverine territory and crushing Michigan State this weekend.
On Friday, Wisconsin dropped the first two games to the Wolverines, 28-30 and 30-32. The women rallied and won the final three matches.
The women came out stronger Saturday against the Spartans and took the series in three games with scores of 30-25, 30-25 and 30-20.
The men's and women's cross country team proved themselves worthy at the NCAA Regional Cross Country Championship at Indiana State. Senior Bethany Brewster won the individual title in 20:41 and the Badgers placed fifth overall. The men placed fourth, with freshman Matt Tegenkamp taking fourth in 30:46.
