Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson returned to Madison Friday to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the $65.9 million Health Sciences Learning Center.

The former governor, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report, spoke of his time at the National Institutes of Health learning about stem-cell research with UW-Madison developmental biologist James Thomson.
