Last but not least, this Lacoste number is too darn cute! I love the scalloping! Looks great with the red pants here but this is fitted version of the “do anything with it” in the first picture. This one tops the do anything actually, it’s do anything plus, because you already have the adorable scallop detail.
I really like the colorblocking here. Generally colorblocking seems like it was once daring and now it’s just an easy strategy for shock value. Here it strikes me as tasteful and intentional and generally well done. That being said I would buy this as a challenge piece, as in it will be a challenge to style. It will be tricky because it’s dark and a bit harsh yet more of a day time cut.
Maison Scotch is perfection, I think I pinned their entire F/W look book. In selecting these shirts I generally tried to avoid fading around the boobs, because really? Why are boobs causing fading? For me this shirt is above fading logic, I’m not even thinking about it. It’s hard to make a rich bright blue indigo hue work, and this one is making it work and then some. Doesn’t it kind of look like something that belongs to your ten year old brother in the best way possible? Love love love.
This guy is also extra long, perfect for days when you are too lazy for pants with a waistband/can’t close the waistband on the pants you’re wearing (very understandable this time of year). I also think the sleek look of the material, close but not too close cut up top, and of course collar tips really elevate this piece. I could see it working tucked into a polished skirt for that grey area between student and business casual, like business really casual…. or something.
