For the third time in a row, the No. 2 Badgers (31-2 overall) defeated No. 18 Ohio State (23-12) in the NCAA tournament, giving them their third win against the Buckeyes this season. Unlike the past two contests, Ohio State pushed the Badgers to a fifth set after getting swept in their first two matchups.
No. 2 Wisconsin (28-2 overall) is ready to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament starting Thursday against Western Michigan (22-13). The Badgers clinched the Big Ten title last weekend after defeating Purdue (22-10) in three sets.
No. 2 Wisconsin (16-1 Big Ten, 25-2 overall) continued its winning streak after defeating No. 10 Illinois (13-4, 21-7) in four sets Wednesday night at the UW Field House.
The No. 5 Badgers (6-1 Big Ten, 15-2 overall) defeated the No. 23 Golden Gophers (3-4, 13-5) Wednesday in three competitive sets of 25-16, 25-19 and 30-28, in the first of two matches this week between the border rivals.
The No. 6 Badgers (3-1 Big Ten, 12-2 overall) will look to extend their three-game winning streak this weekend as they take on Big Ten newcomers Rutgers, Friday, and Maryland, Sunday.
No. 3 Penn State (1-0 Big Ten, 13-1 overall) swept No. 5 Wisconsin (0-1, 9-2) in three sets by mirroring the last match they played for the national championship.
Fresh off its 68-17 rout against Bowling Green, Wisconsin (2-1) will host South Florida (2-2) this Saturday in its nonconference finale.
The No. 4 Badgers (8-0) will play their final nonconference matches this weekend in the Pac-12/Big Ten Showcase hosted in Seattle. Wisconsin plays No. 10 USC (6-2) Thursday night and No. 5 Washington (9-0) Friday night.

The No. 4 Wisconsin volleyball team (8-0) continued the impressive start to their season by staying undefeated and winning the HotelRed Invitational at the UW Field House.

No. 4 Wisconsin (5-0) is a team to watch as they begin their season with strong tournament showings.
Following an impressive showing in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, Wisconsin volleyball (2-0) is looking to keep its early season momentum going in the Northern Colorado/Colorado State Classic tournament this weekend.
