Current BCS rules snub most deserving teams in favor of mediocrity

In every sport, there is that one position. A position that often determines the success or failure of a team. A position that very few people can play, and even less can play well.No other player can experience as much joy in a win or feel as much despair in a loss. CHICAGO—Heading into the Big Ten Media Days in Chicago, there was really only one topic on everyone's mind—expansion. Perhaps more than the others, though, the Wisconsin football team and head coach Bret Bielema have an incredibly vested interest in what Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany called an ""historic"" addition of Nebraska to the conference.
CHICAGO—For three straight years Wisconsin's offense faced the task of breaking in a new starting quarterback. In 2008 the team even got to break in two of them.
