Men's Basketball: Marquette up next

The Wisconsin men's basketball team (6-1 overall) suffered their first blemish on the season Wednesday night in the finale of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge, losing to the No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels 60-57. They now turn their attention to Saturday's matchup with in-state rival Golden Eagles as they welcome No 16. Marquette (6-0) to the Kohl Center.

Coming into Saturday’s game against Illinois, the Wisconsin football team (5-2 Big Ten, 9-2 overall) had struggled on the road. However, a second half comeback helped exorcise the Badgers’ road demons and sets up a do-or-die matchup with Penn State (6-1, 9-2) Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.

Final scores can often be misleading, and Wisconsin's 28-17 win over Illinois Saturday is certainly no exception. While the Badgers (5-2 Big Ten, 9-2 overall) survived their final road test and continue to control their own destiny in the Big Ten Leaders Division, this game was far from pretty.

Women's Basketball: Wisconsin host Wastington State in Friday-night showdown

In search of its first home victory of the season, the Wisconsin women's basketball team welcomes Washington State to the Kohl Center Friday. The Badgers are coming off of a difficult 54-52 road loss at the hands of in-state rival Marquette Tuesday. Wisconsin (1-2) had a 49-46 lead with 2:37 to play, but the Golden Eagles scored eight of the last 11 points in the game to secure the victory.

Men's Basketball: Badgers continue early season success

After a resounding 54 point victory against Kennesaw State Saturday—in which the Wisconsin men’s basketball team shot 15-25 from behind the arc and moved up one spot to No. 14 in the AP Poll—the Badgers looked to pick up its second regular season win against the Colgate Raiders of the Patriot League Wednesday.
