One day after last Tuesday's election, Gov. Jim Doyle halted work on the $810 million high-speed rail project — believing the rail can't move forward when the state and Washington D.C. are not cooperating partners. With this suspension, Doyle made the right choice considering the poor state of Wisconsin's current economic status.

President Obama's trip to Asia has been dominated by one central theme: the economy. After Americans overwhelmingly rejected the policies of his administration, the president was hoping to accomplish several objectives during the 10-day trip that would not only bolster the U.S. economy, but also show that Obama is able to reach out to Republicans on issues of foreign policy and free trade.
Newly elected governor Scott Walker hasn't even been sworn into office yet and he's already making big changes for Wisconsin — and not necessarily for the better.
