When you’re born in Ohio, being a fan of Ohio State is inherent.
Traevon Jackson has been a controversial player for the Badgers (6-5 Big Ten, 19-5 overall). He’s known as “Mr. Clutch” for making multiple game-winners, but also as a player who makes multiple mistakes that can cost his team. Badger fans saw both sides of that today, and it was infuriating at first, but was then followed by exhilaration.
The roller coaster of a season Wisconsin (5-5 Big Ten, 18-5 overall) will only get crazier this weekend.
If I told you a free falling team lost a much needed game because of a complete inability to generate late stops on defense, you probably would have guessed it was the previously top-five Badgers (5-5 Big Ten, 18-5 overall).
The struggles for Wisconsin (4-5 Big Ten, 17-5 overall) continued Saturday afternoon, when Ohio State handed the Badgers their third consecutive home loss.
In what is normally a battle for the top of the Big Ten conference, the No. 14 Wisconsin (4-4 Big Ten, 17-4 overall) and No. 24 Ohio State (3-5, 16-5) men’s basketball teams will meet under different circumstances Saturday.

There’s really no way to cut it, the Wisconsin men’s basketball team’s (4-3 Big Ten, 17-3 overall) last meeting with Northwestern (3-5, 10-11) was a total beatdown.
In the same state where their defense began to stumble, the Badgers were able to regain their footing and continue a very promising season.
The rough road for the Wisconsin men’s basketball team (3-3 Big Ten, 16-3 overall) this week wouldn’t get any smoother last night in Minneapolis, where the Gophers defeated the Badgers 81-68. This loss marks the third straight loss since beginning the season, a program-best, 16-0.

It was a night of inversions: an undefeated team falling, a 10-point lead immediately erased by a 12-point run, fans of a perennial college basketball powerhouse storming the court. Indiana, an opponent that Wisconsin hadn’t lost to since sophomore forward Sam Dekker’s middle school years, finally turned the tide.
Starting a season 16-0 in any sport is a remarkable achievement, most notably in the National Football League for a perfect regular season. This was only done once after the league started playing 16 regular season games.
Beating an in-state rival and staying undefeated would normally be a season highlight. But as an impressive season continues, it’s beginning to feel all the more normal for the Badgers.
Expect the Kohl Center to be alive when Wisconsin’s two basketball powers meet for the 120th time this weekend.
A tough, ugly and defensive 48-38 win was all too fitting for head coach Bo Ryan as he celebrated his 300th career win with the Badgers.
When you think of a matchup between No. 8 Wisconsin (8-0) and Virginia (7-1), the word “slow” might jump immediately to your mind. But “low scoring?” With the way the Badgers are scoring this year, maybe not.
Even the uglier wins look better when they take place on the Mexican coastline.
