“I'll be the pill that you wanna swallow / When you're looking for the joy,” Damiano David broods over a punk-spirited bass riff on the song “READ YOUR DIARY,” the eleventh track from Måneskin’s 17-track album “RUSH!” This could very well be a lyric derived from any of the band’s many musical influences such as Black Sabbath, Aerosmith or Arctic Monkeys.

Badger Film Group, a local Madison-based film group, is set to premiere its latest project and first feature film, “Watch Out,” at the Marquee Theater in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Union South on Thursday. Sheldon Epps has been a prominent face in the American theater for decades. He conceived and directed the Tony-nominated musicals “Play On!” and “Blues in the Night.” Additionally, he directed episodes of classic shows like “Friends,” “Frasier” and “Sister, Sister” all while working as the artistic director of the Pasadena Playhouse, occupying the role from 1997 to 2017.

“Come From Away” is based on the real stories of a plane of passengers forced to be grounded in the wake of the events of Sept. 11, 2001 and the residents of Gander, Newfoundland, whose location and airport made them the closest stop for many flights. Over the span of a little under a week, the town of roughly 800 people hosted roughly 1,000 guests whose flights were grounded as far into nowhere as you can get.

“A League of Their Own” is a period sports comedy-drama television series co-created by Will Graham and Abbi Jacobson. This rendition of the 1992 movie “A League of Their Own,” which featured Madonna, Rosie O'Donnell, Tom Hanks and other stars, is wonderfully done and has a new explicit feature: queerness. The 2022 series stars Abbi Jacobson, D’Arcy Carden and Chanté Adams from “Broad City,” “A Good Place” and “Roxanne Roxanne,” respectively.

The Alliant Energy Center was a popular destination for Madisonians looking for a night out on Friday, Dec. 2. The arena was nearly full by the time the show kicked off, with seats packed all the way to the back of the venue. The double-feature tour that passed through Madison brings together two unassuming acts — bro-country star Brantley Gilbert and metal legends Five Finger Death Punch.
