Over break, many college students utilize their more open-ended schedules to “catch up on sleep.” It’s a common phrase not only on college campuses but everywhere in a society that prioritizes productivity— where packed schedules and running from place to place reign supreme over rest. People boast on social media about hustling and “the grind”, seemingly alluding to the notion that some prosperous future awaits those who work, work, work, with no play.

The Wisconsin Badgers closed out the 2021 campaign with a 20-13 victory over Arizona State in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. It was a rollercoaster of a season for the Badgers, who bounced back from a miserable, 1-3 start and strung together seven consecutive wins. They looked destined for the Big Ten Championship Game until losing a winnable game in Minnesota and finishing with an 8-4 record.

Despite my vegetarianism and general disdain for fishing in real life, I’ve somehow always been in love with the feeling of reeling in a virtual fish in a game. Not in those rugged, story-absent games like Big Bass Fishing, but through classic cozier games in the vein of Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing or Minecraft. Naturally, then, I was thrilled when Bunnyhug Studios announced Moonglow Bay, a game that finally takes the fishing theme of older games and makes it palatable for people like me, who wouldn’t step within 6 feet of a fishing rod in real life.

University of Wisconsin-Madison students were able to take a breath last week as midterms officially came to a close. Evidently, roughly three tenths of a second into said breath, professors all around campus decided that it was time to work together to ensure that each student had at least three ten-page papers, two projects and other busy work due within the next week.

After a disappointing loss to the NJIT Highlanders, the Wisconsin Women's Basketball Team is set to face Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Bradley is coming off two thumping wins, whereas the Badgers are looking to get their road record off to a good start. Each team has a trio of players that fans will need to watch out for, alongside the contributions of both star-studded benches.
