It’s been two years since content creator Leviathan uploaded the iconic “Chug Jug With You” to SoundCloud. The song instantly became a top hit on TikTok and is today considered one of the most influential pop songs of the 21st century. But even more importantly, the song sparked an antiviolence movement with its reference to the ongoing atrocities in Tomato Town and its lyrics encouraging love and peace, like “I really love to chug with you” and “La la la la la ee a.”

Picture this. It’s 1993, and you’re sitting down in the theatre to watch Denzel — the guy who just played (and got snubbed) for the Oscar as Malcom X — and Morgan Freeman hunt down a serial killer somewhere among the crime-ridden streets. The guy who made “Jaws” and “ET” is directing, and as opening credits roll — you firmly believe this will be the best movie of the year.

In an interview with the Associated Press, US Attorney General Bill Barr stated that “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election.” This factual statement caused a Republican revolt against Barr, with Rudy Guiliani — who Trump tapped to head his 2020 election legal team — declaring that “with all due respect to the Attorney General [a Republican, Trump appointee], there hasn’t been any semblance of an investigation into the president’s complaints.”

As more and more college football games get cancelled each week, we as fans and sportswriters alike cling to any shred of normalcy that we can. This year’s Heisman candidates have given us exactly that; all of the reasonable candidates are quarterbacks, the position that has taken home nine of the last ten trophies. Some of the candidates were expected to be on this list coming into the season. Others, not so much. Without further ado, here are some of the top players in the Heisman race this year.

While most of the world focused on the unveiling of the Tesla Cybertruck last November and lost it when the “armor glass” on the truck smashed — much to Elon Musk’s embarrassment — another unveiling was taking place in Amman, Jordan. Diametrically opposite to the chaos that the Cybertruck caused, this unveiling was peaceful and serene. It was hosted by none other than Coldplay, who released their most recent album Everyday Life via two live performances during the Jordanian sunrise and sunset that were streamed in their entirety on YouTube. The performances were meant to correspond to the two halves of the album titled “Sunrise” and “Sunset” and the location was a nod to the Middle Eastern influences of the album. Being a biased Coldplay fan, I found the performance to be quite godly, especially when meshed in with the beauty of Amman and indeed, the sunrise and the sunset, but unfortunately, I could not get anybody to appreciate the brilliance of the performance — and indeed, the album — at the time.

Coming into Friday night’s game against Michigan (1-3), there were a litany of questions surrounding the No. 10 Wisconsin (2-0) football program. Nobody knew about quarterback Graham Mertz’s status, who would miss the game due to COVID-19, or how the team would respond after missing two consecutive weeks of practice. Expectations were high, but some rust was certainly expected.

While 2020 and COVID-19 saw the halting of many artist’s careers, slowing down was not in the cards for the internet apt pop/funk sextet Vulfpeck.
