In perhaps the most anticipated season premiere this fall,
33-year-old Saturday Night Live more than delivered with a knockout
punch featuring Tina Fey's dead-on Sarah Palin impression. It was
so accurate, in fact, there's buzz Tina Fey will be back to reprise
the role in the weeks before the election. This means I won't have
to wait until October (30 Rock premiere, obviously) to get the Tina
Fey fix I have been deprived of since May. Anyway, if you didn't
see the three and a half minutes of uproarious Alaskan humor,
YouTube it, stat. Actually, go to NBC.com, because YouTube hits
only bring annoying news commentary about it.

Two of my favorite movies of all time are Hoosiers and

I think there is some secret TA handbook for how to begin the
semester. It's always the same the first time you walk into your
discussion group. The TA gets up, makes some comment like, I know
this is so lame, but we're going to go around the room and
introduce ourselves. Say your name, year, major and something
interesting."" The next 20 minutes proceed to teach you the most
important thing you will learn in the first week - introductions
are boring.

In one scene from The Wackness,"" a girl looks into her lover's

As the semester comes to a close, now is the time we are forced
to reflect on what we've learned in the past year - or at least
find a way to bullshit the essays we'll have to write come exam
week. But before we all go lock ourselves in the stacks at Memorial
Library, with little more than our books, caffeine pills and
illegally obtained study drugs, we have to remember that there's
more to life than memorizing algorithms, scribbling terms on flash
cards and writing research papers - there's the things we discover
in between learning - real life lessons.

It is the dream of most athletes to some day don the jersey of a
professional team. But few players leave college and pursue a
profession in the sport they played. For someone like Ken DeBauche,
that dream not only became a reality, but an especially sweet
reality.

All sports legends are supposed to exit the field in the same
