The Wisconsin men’s basketball team released transfer forward Elijah Gray this afternoon due to an issue prior to transferring to the Badgers this season.
Additional information about his dismissal has not yet been made public because “privacy laws limit the university's ability to share more at this time.
Gray did not participate in the Red-White Scrimmage, reportedly due to illness, and was also absent from the team’s trip to Milwaukee for an exhibition against Oklahoma.
The senior transferred from Temple where he averaged 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game last season.
Gray was projected to add more depth to the Badgers frontcourt rotation along with Will Garlock and Aleksas Bielauskas.
