Madison Police Department (MPD) responded to a car collision that took place around 6 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Regent and Park St. near the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

One car flipped over and sat on the sidewalk in front of the UW Health Laboratory. The other car, laying further south down Park in the middle of the intersection, was in the process of being loaded onto a towing truck at 6:30 p.m. Authorities blocked off the 900 block of Regent St.

“The airbags went off, everybody is fine,” said MPD Sgt. Tyler Phillips. No victims were reported on the scene.

No details were given regarding the nature of how the cars collided, nor the cause of the collision.
