Author Celeste Ng's second novel, 2017's "Little Fires Everywhere" will be subject to a discussion with Ng in Madison on May 15.

Summer Arts Preview: Literature

On May 15th, New York Times bestselling novelist Celeste Ng will be visiting Madison for a highly-anticipated speaking event. Ng is the featured author for the Madison Public Library Foundation’s annual Lunch for Libraries — a fundraiser in support of the Wisconsin Book Festival.

Ng will be speaking at the Monona Terrace about her 2017 novel, "Little Fires Everywhere". An instantaneous bestseller and declared the best book of the year by numerous publications, Ng’s second novel delineates the lives of the Richardson family and the events that rupture the façade of their idyllic suburban life. Within the plot, Ng examines themes of motherhood, moral contradiction and questions of identity, ultimately presenting a novel that is as thoroughly readable as it is memorable.
