Around noon Monday, WiscAlert notified students and staff of an armed robbery that occurred at the Pizza Hut at 520 S. Park Street.
The suspect was last seen inside the UW Arboretum. UW-Madison Police Department stated that the suspect was a white male, 20 years old with curly hair, wearing a black pea coat, blue jeans and a black face mask. He was also seen carrying a revolver.
UW-Madison Police Department, Madison Police Department and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office are all currently investigating the robbery. They advised students and staff to stay away from the area while they continued searching for the suspect.
The suspect has been found and is currently in custody.
