Gov. Scott Walker has abruptly decided to drop out of the 2016 campaign, according to an article in The New York Times and subsequently confirmed by an anonymous source close to the Walker campaign.
The news comes on the heels of a poor debate performance followed by a CNN poll putting him at 0 percent nationally. Top campaign donors were rumored to be shopping for other candidates.
Walker will hold a press conference at 5 p.m. CST at the Edgewater hotel in Madison.
