Obama to hold rally in Madison day before election

The city of Madison Mayor’s office confirmed Thursday President Barack Obama plans to host a rally in Madison Monday, the day before the Nov. 6 election.

The rally will not take place on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, according to Assistant to the Mayor Katie Crawley.

The Obama campaign will release further details about the rally “as soon as they can,” Crawley said.

Obama visited the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus Oct. 4 and spoke on Bascom Hill, with approximately 33,000 Madisonians present.

Obama’s visit to Madison Monday will mark the third time the President will visit Wisconsin in five days, with a visit in Green Bay Thursday and a rally in Milwaukee planned for Saturday.
