Courses will be taught by professors from both universities and will include Internet video conferences.

The program accompanies two existing programs in Bangkok and Kyoto.

The other programs are relatively new. The program in Bangkok began in 2010 and the program in Kyoto began in August.

The programs are organized by the East Asian Legal Studies Center of the UW-Madison Law School.

The programs are meant to contribute to the university's diversity and its commitment to global education, Charles Irish, director of the EALSC, said in a statement.
