Sauk County Court Judge James Evenson sentenced Yates to two life terms with no possibility of parole for his crimes.

Yates pleaded not guilty to both charges in July 2008, and continued to deny it even at his sentencing.

""First and foremost, my statement remains the same, I did not kill my son Tyler Richard Yates,"" he said, according to the WSJ. ""I did not kill my daughter Savannah Irene Yates.""
