Attempted break-in at Gerry St. residence

A prowler was spotted outside of a 23-year-old Madison woman's Gerry Court bedroom window Sunday night.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m., the woman reported the incidence to the Madison Police department. According to a police report, the victim said she heard a noise outside and thought someone was trying to open her window. She reportedly pulled the window curtain aside and saw the intruder, who was still standing outside her bedroom window. The victim said the suspect fled eastward toward a bike path and train tracks.

The prowler is described as a black male, 18 to 24 years of age, 5'5 to 5'8"". He was reported wearing a dark puffy winter coat and a dark stocking hat at the time of the incidence.
