Thieves rob laundry patron of quarters

A 22-year-old man reported being robbed by two men Thursday night at a self-service laundry on Mound Street, according to a Madison police report. 

 

Police said the incident took place at 1306 Mound St., just after 8 p.m. 

 

The victim told police one of the robbers said he had a gun and demanded money before fleeing with some quarters. 

The robbers were last seen running eastbound on Mound Street. 

 

The first robber is described as a black male in his 20s, 5'9, between 180 and 200 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt, faded black jeans and white tennis shoes. The second robber is described as a black male in his 20s, between 5'6"" and 5'7"" tall, weighing 160 to 180 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt, black jeans and white tennis shoes.
