Police say robbery on Pickney St. was planned attack

A robbery occurred at a home on the 200 block of North Pickney Street Tuesday morning, according to a report released Wednesday by Madison police.

The report said MPD learned that on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. a male victim in his twenties was awakened when three black male suspects entered the residence at 200 N. Pickney.

The suspects, who were reported to have been wearing ski masks during the incident, demanded items from the house and then proceeded to flee the scene. Among the stolen goods were money and electronic equipment.

Both male victims, 21 and 20, suffered no injuries and the case still remains open and under investigation.

However, police noted the robbery at this residence did not seem to be random—police said in the report the address appeared to be targeted by the suspects.
