Madison police released a report Wednesday about a man who attempted to harm detox staff members while being moved from a room at the county detox center.
Jonathan Linden, 29, of Elkhorn, Wis., was taken to detox by area police and while serving time in the facility, began to cause a scene, which prompted his removal from the room, police said. However, in the attempted room switch, Linden strangled a member of the staff.
According to police, the other staff members tried several different ways to get Linden off their co-worker, but were unsuccessful. Once Linden let go of his stranglehold on the employee, he began throwing punches at the staff and tried to bite them.
The four staff members involved in the ruckus reported pain and minor injuries. Linden was taken to Dane County Jail and faces charges of second degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
