The UW System Board of Regents is looking for a student to fill the Student Regent seat that will open on May 1, 2007. The deadline for submitting application materials is today.
The 18-member board includes one student of the UW System who is appointed for a term of two years. The student must be 18 years of age, a resident of Wisconsin and enrolled at least half time in good academic standing. The student also needs to be enrolled for the full two-year term.
To apply for the position, students must submit a cover letter outlining their vision for the Board of Regents and fill out the online application at the Governor's Boards and Commissions website, www.wisgov.state.wi.us. Several candidates will be chosen for interviews and the finalists' names will be forwarded to Doyle for his selection.
