St. Patrick's Day celebrations will paint Madison green this weekend with Irish festivities.
Events start Friday night with a pub crawl from 6 to 9 p.m. Stops include the Brocach Irish Pub, Genna's Lounge, the Great Dane Brew Pub, High Noon Saloon and the Brass Ring.
Saturday morning, runners will rise early for the 4th annual Shamrock Shuffle, a 10K or 5K run and a two mile walk at Monona Terrace, starting at 10 a.m.
A traditional Irish flag ceremony will take place at noon at the Capitol Rotunda, followed by the 10th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade at 1:30 p.m.
Raffles and contests will continue throughout the afternoon, and the weekend's events will end with a 5 p.m. mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on East Main Street.
